Little brother,
They say mericales happen every day. How do we know? Someone sees them. A child is suddenly saved from cancer. A mother feeds her two teen kids and they aren't in gangs. A father returns from war. A little brother is born. Mericales happen every day.
Little brother, We are all mericales, created and shaped by this world. Each one of us unique in our own way. When a child is born with the ability to talk to the dead, perhaps the dead have something to say.
Little brother, I am an empathetic person. I feel peoples pain. I see their hidden tears. I rejoice in their triumph. I feel the waves of the ocean. I feel the trees. I feel the animals. I feel the dead. I fight demons, and I sit with the dead.
Little brother, I am unique in a special way, that I was feared as a child. So I hid who I am behind a mask of lies. The chill of who I am frighten people inside. The truth in my words, enraged the emotions in side. Yes, I felt that too. However, not from you.
Little brother understand, Behind my mask, people tell me who they are. With whispers of energy, they tell me what they need. With words they tell me what they want. I try to help when I can.
Little brother I heard your call. She is waiting, but cant wait too long. The reasons to blame her cant hold out too long. The problems with mothers is they can fail you too. Though you have a family, we are here too. If you can forgive them, why not her too? Please hear me when I tell you, she still crys over you. Her baby boy, stolen in the night. It doesn't matter who's fault. Will it after she dies?
Little brother, I had a vision one day of what is going to happen to me when I die. In a little white gown I stood on a beach frozen in fear of the man walking twords me. With each step over the blue water, he became clear. He walked to me and I could see his hands, openly reached out to me. I wasnt focused on them, for his eyes were on me. I was ashamed, broken and in tears. I saw his face smiling at me. Frozen in place before this wonderful man, I couldn't speak. I could barely stand. He just wrapped his arms around me and caught me when my legs gave way and I couldn't stand.
As I wept in his arms he held me close and said, "I understand." For a moment I could feel the peace of this loving man.
I had a vision of where I'm going when I die. To be with this man, with eyes so kind. He goes by many names. Home the name I keep in my mind.
Little brother,
I locked away this vision, and gave it to the church of mine. They printed my poem in the paper that week for everyone to see. It brought so many peace.
Little brother, I understand. I to fought a war no one will ever fully understand, except for that one man. With holes in his hands.
Little brother that's not all. I know you would have been there to hold my hand. When the doctors told me I was going to die. Dont fret, he was there. I've been doing work undercover and hidden behind a mask of lies. I walk amond the fallen to remind them someone is kind. I seek to save them because someone saved me. Though she passed away, she is still here. Whispering in my ears. Of that man over there. Remember how she held your hand?
Little brother, I sit thinking of the foot prints in that sand, I can see the prints left behind. Those haven't been my foot prints for a very long time. I gave him my life on that beach that night. He walks beside me in this stride called life. When they told me I was dying, he has carried me every since, working to heal my family, my friends, and everyone dear to me. Bringing back the fallen, as I say, no man left behind.
To hold something that powerful in your heart and mind, can play a number on the body. The doctors told me I'm dying. I got scare of the work I would leave behind. A lost brother, who's pain has made him blind.
Little brother, It almost killed me to help my family each other again, time after time. I still have more work to do, thi I have more help this time. Hear your siblings calling, "NO BROTHER LEFT BEHIND" One brother is still missing from this family of mine. Stolen from his brothers and sister, how life is unkind.
I hope I get to know my brother before I join the man on the beach. I dont want him to miss me, after I die. Same as the mother I watched cry. For her little baby still has tears in his eyes.
Little brother, If only you knew about that place I'm going to. Maybe then you would want to come too when it is your time.
Little brother, you have a beautiful family. I'm proud of you. No matter what, I can still hear you cry. You have lost so much, dont wait till there isn't time. We love you dearly. No, mom wasnt right. My little brother, I miss you tonight.
This is my bane, the reason I cry for you at night. I want to hold your hand when our mother dies. I want you to feel at home before I die. I know it's not fair to you, to ask you this. After we all hurt you. Please allow me peace when I die. No work left undone. When I step on that beach of mine.
Little brother, I love you. You bane of mine.
